Seattle Central Library

Architect: OMA (Rem Koolhaas & Joshua Prince-Ramus) with LMN Architects | Seattle, WA

Background: An 11-story crystalline landmark that reimagines the library as a civic stage, its angular glass and steel structure challenges convention and redefines public space.

Photography Notes: Shifting light played across the faceted glass, casting sharp geometric shadows and subtly illuminating each level’s distinct hues—from the vibrant “Red Floor” to the muted tones of study and platform areas—creating compositions that meld color, form, and human presence.
